originally constructed for US Navy as a NATICK Class large yard
tug/fireboat. It was in service from 1982 to 1995 at Port Hueneme, CA, at which time when it
was turned over to another Government agency. In 2022 IUKA was sold by
the United States Government General Services agency.
Vessel is now in use as a training vessel at a West Coast Job Corps Facility.
IUKA is in very good shape and ready to go.
Fuel capacity of 29,496-US gal. Will allow vessel to operate for
approximately 350 hours at full throttle, full load.

Philadelphia 5.45:1 gear box. Shaft brake. Two low hour CAT 7.1 Tier 3 gensets. Upgraded AC panel. New HVAC system. Rudders and shafts pulled and inspected at last haul-out. Fendering removed before near white metal blasting of the hull, freeboard, decks and house. The yard applied all new coatings and non-skid among many other things. New NXT solid state Radar, AIS, VHFs, transducer, GPS, LED navigation lights and more. Lots of spare parts and consumables onboard. Upgrades and replacements done in 2017.
